Huge list of free Cypherpunk & Crypto-Anarchy books and papers

Tue Sep 22, 2015 11:48 am

The guys over at The Satoshi Nakamoto Institute have compiled a very nice list of literature going back all the way to 1957 with William Fellers 'An Introduction to Probability Theory and Its Applications, Vol. I'

If you're interested in learning about all the genius concepts theorised and developed over the last 60 years that eventually led to the creation of Bitcoin this is a fine place to start.

you would have to op_return w/ a hex encoded value for the shortlink to the site. Can't store everything on the blockchain - then its no longer bitcoin.

This would be very messy, time consuming, and I just can't see a reason to do it this way.

I would look at Tahoe-LAFS, explanation: https://tahoe-lafs.org/~warner/pycon-tahoe.html a project Zooko O'Hearn (Developer of http://zerocash-project.org/) is involved in.

It is a secure distributed file system, with a long history of stability.

The book content can be hashed and stored in the blockchain with some type of link.

There are advancements in DHT, ipfs, maidsafe, storj but I don't know specifically which is popular enough to store the content reliably but all are potential candidates.

Tahoe-LAFS works now, and I give it my stamp of approval at the moment.
We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.
