Milan was an interesting experience, though compared to HK ScalingBitcoin a year ago, the feeling was definitely less enthusiastic and more "hmm..." We have come a full year after the world reached a consensus that 2mb was a safe bump, yet here we are with the 1.7mb complex bump still not deployed. I think the only thing the last year has shown us is that the difference in developer opinion is not reconcilable, and Bitcoin is going to have to get used to the fact that Hard Forks are the only evolutionary option the network has in these situations.
We better get used to handling them.
