Beware of scammers! Please ESCROW!

Always remember that people will be after you money and its better to use prevention than opting for a cure! So I urge everyone to use an escrow.

If you don't know what an escrow is then read here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escrow

There are a few members(the mods and others) out here who are pretty trusted on the other forum. You can always ask them to escrow for your deal. Also, you can also ask the escrowers on the other forum(btctalk) to escrow.

I also ask users nominate to nominate themselves as escrow and tell that why are they worthy of being an escrow.

Stay safe!

Yes, very good advice! I've used escrow myself quite some times since I've learned about bitcoin and was never disappointed. It's a small fee for a lot more security (and peace of mind).

I think OgNasty has agreed to escrow deals on this forum and his very trustworth.

Blazed may also be willing to escrow deals.

Dont just trust anyone when choosing a escrow, do your homework first.
If in doubt look into using multisig escrow.

I am a global moderator here and consider myself trustworthy but no way would i want the headace of acting as escrow provider.

Good advice, I hope here will be a lot of qualified escrow, so everyone is assured of security and trust.

Having escrows on each transactions you would made is a must because we could somehow assure ourselves that the risk of being scammed is lesser compare to those who dont have escrows. We must be vigilant and aware to our money since its not easy to earn it nowadays and we should not let other people would steal it from you. Scammers are everywhere either on physical or online world.

I completely agree that using an escrow is very important. I have been burnt a couple of different times because I was trying to do things quick and easy without going through an escrow.

I wanted to offer myself as an escrow service for small amounts to this community. I don't have a lot of reputation here or on the other forum, but I am fairly active on Reddit among the bitcoin forums. If you take a look at my Slave Labour Rep you will see that I have helped people recover bitcoin a few times. In this transaction I recovered 1.46 BTC and returned it, and in this transaction I recovered 2 BTC and returned it to the rightful owner.

Here is my signed message for username verification on this forum. I am also verified with three accounts at https://onename.com/grnqrtr

Like I said, I would be happy to help escrow small trades for this community. I might turn down a request if the amounts are too large or it makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason, but please feel free to ask!
Thank you for offering your services here as an escrow provider.
Can you tell us how you will store any users funds during the escrow time frame?

Yes, especially on a rapidly growing forum like this. Most people are new and there is not a huge amount of trust established here.

Some members from bitcointalk have established trust there and deal without escrow. However between new people it is a must!

this is indeed a very good advice, even if I NEVER had to use an escrow service on my coin sales, ( wich is a big amount of coins in few years ) I had used Ognasty service for few items I had bought to unknown people ( with I had never deal before ) , and all went really smoothly :)
Ognasty is a trusted person.
Also, I had provided escrow service in few trade for other users, and I would be more than happy to help to secure some trades for only a little fee.. :)

Thanks, but are there any Bitcoin escrow sites specifically focused on providing these escrow services for cryptos in general? Maybe if there are you can update with the list.
