Bitcoin Confidential is a new coin focused on confidentiality and will be Proof of Stake.

Bitcoin Confidential will be an entirely fungible cryptocurrency. All transactions will be private to create a genuinely fungible cryptocurrency using Ring Signatures technology.

Bitcoin Confidential will not use less compromising protocols, and so will incorporate Ring Signatures for untraceable payments as default.

SmartCash ticker symbol (SMART) holders will get a 10:1 airdrop of Bitcoin Confidential for example 1 SmartCash = 10 Bitcoin Confidential coins in the new chain.

We are exploring the possibility to encourage adoption, which may be via an Airdrop to Bitcoin and Top altcoin holders.

We have our first release ready. We have released a testnet only version to give everyone a look at the wallet and its functions. You can join us in testing this release and give us your feedback.

Update on testing and the Mainnet release:

We successfully tested large block transactions with up to 1.2 MB blocks on testnet. We didn't see any speed issues even with Testnet blocks running at 30 seconds. We do expect to increase blocksize in the future, but that isn't the priority for this first release. We have reduced the blocktime from 2 minutes in our original announcement to 1 minute for Mainnet.

A few issues came up from these tests. It appears our fee estimates don't adjust correctly and we will need to review. We also found a few other address and validation issues that we are fixing.

We have to push back the Mainnet release of Bitcoin Confidential until the remaining issues have been sorted. Expect a status update next week.

We have successfully completed fixes for fees and validation. We are looking good for a Mainnet release on 4/26/19. This will be a fair launch with 1/20th value blocks for first week. We will add something special with this release that you haven't seen in testing.
