Transfer generated additional transaction?

Mon Feb 25, 2019 12:14 am

I just sent some BCH to my Bitcoin.com wallet. The wallet already had a balance, and the BCH I sent was already split. However, when I received the BCH, there was an additional transaction of +0.00001111 BCH generated (notification said something about return address). Is this a Bitcoin.com transaction in order to make sure the BCH is split, or could it be something malicious? If from Bitcoin.com, do they add this to every transaction? Seems like it could be expensive.

It sounds like you have received a memopay advertising transaction.
If you check the receiving address or transaction ID on our block explorer, you should see a message that has been attached by the sender.
