I have been waiting for months for transactions that are showing in my Blockchain but Bitcoin Core is taking its time synchronizing for me to get my funds. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

If you're using Bitcoin-Qt (Bitcoin Core) it could take a while to synchronizing. Also, if your internet isn't very fast, or if your computer isn't very fast, it could take even longer.

Have you considered dumping your private keys and sweeping them into a more modern bitcoin wallet? The Bitcoin.com wallet is a lightweight client and you wont need to download the blockchain transaction history nor store it.

In any event, what version of Bitcoin-Qt (Bitcoin Core) do you have on your machine?

If I've misunderstood the issue please let us know (and please provide more details if possible). Also, please remember to never share your private keys with anyone.

2. If you were born in 1961 (as your handle suggests) I wouldn't consider that to be old really.

I'm sorry to tell you, but unfortunately if you do not have the 12 word backup phrase there is no way to recover your wallet or the funds.
Your 12 word recovery phrase is extremely important, you should take extra care going forward to always back-up your wallets as soon as you have created them.
