Interesting, coinbase doesn't support usdt. Either way, I'm sorry this happened to you. Contact coinbase support and explain you situation with your id.

THanks for responding. I contacted support and they said this - is there no hope? :
"Unfortunately Coinbase is not currently compatible with any ICO, so your Coinbase wallet should not be used to participate in any ICO.

ICOs typically return tokens to the same address as the funds are sent from. Since Coinbase does not support those tokens, we are not able to credit an account with or return tokens sent to a Coinbase address.

Specific private keys associated with an address are not physically available to any single person. It would take a massive effort and some very large engineering resources just to access a specific key, not to mention the inherent security risks involved.

If you have already sent funds to an ICO address, unfortunately we will not be able to return any ICO funds or tokens that are sent to Coinbase-controlled addresses. I apologize, and wish there was something more we could do.

Unfortunately, digital currency transactions using most blockchains are irreversible, meaning once they are sent there is no way to reclaim funds.
"

I'm surprised they got back to you this fast. Either way, I'm sorry for the news. I would keep posting this question in other btc forums to see if someone has come across a similar issue!

First thing, I would like to advise you to always double check what you are going to do on the money markets as a single mistake can cost you a lot. Secondly, you need to contact the support center of the coinbase as well. Best of luck!
