ETH mining rig. Buy or Build? Amd or Nvidia ?

Starting from scratch with no computer or computer building experience. Is there an off the shelf desktop that would work decent for ETH mining or would you still research and build one?

I made few research and i'm intend to buy 2 Eth Mining Rigs....i don't know what to choose AMD or Nvidia ?

With AMD, you're going to have less risk, cheaper cost, and be able to tweak it as you want, but what it's lacking that Nvidia has is that Nvidia is quiet, power efficient, higher resale value, and pretty profitable. I found all this at this link: http://bit.ly/MiningAMDvsNvidia

You probably have already made a decision - if so, let us know what it was and how it went.

Right now it is hard to recommend building a mining rig for Ethereum due to the ASIC that Bitmain has announced. But, GPU miners can mine many algorithms, so you still can probably get in on mining although you're banking on value increases to make your investment back.

Things to consider:
- Look at the ROI and see if mining is going to work for you. A good resource is What to Mine
- The hardware isn't a mystery, and you can definitely build a mining rig using a guide. This is a mining rig guide based on what we build (Nvidia cards, Z200 and 300 series motherboards). This is another good one, on steemit.
- Decide if it might not be better to buy instead of mine. There's several places you can buy crypto from. The App Robinhood just added trading with no fees although I'm not sure how many cryptos they trade in.
