what makes Bitcoin the undisputed leader

Why do you think Bitcoin will remain as the base coin for years ahead?

Well, right now, if an alt-coin has some sort of technical feature that proves beneficial, Bitcoin has the power of their vast developer community to adopt said feature and thus make it beneficial for them as well--it's almost like they can be a step ahead. In addition, right now BTC is the longest standing of all the crypto's, that could mean nothing to some, but for others the fact that it has survived now for 8 years gives it a much higher store of value overall. Ultimately, btc is just more accessible right now as well, with more exchanges and merchants adopting it as a form of payment. We'll see, all these things could mean nothing seeing as how volatile the crypto-space is but if these factors continue and (hopefully) keep improving, btc will remain the undisputed leader

There is no way to make exact prediction, but IMO for now there is just no coin that could take a lead and replace bitcoin.
In my point of view btc has the greatest value and prospects of growth among any currency. Another benefit of bitcoin is that it already gained trust of investors, who, at the matter of fact, are ready to hodl, no matter what. Sure, altcoins may also be a good investment, but there are so many of them.
Maybe, in the long run bitcoin will take a back seat, but I guess that it won’t happen any time soon.

Well I agree that it's impossible to make any exact prediction now. but bitcoin was better promoted and has a strong foundation that gives btc the opportunity to be the most expensive cryptocurrency in the world. In the same time the capitalization of many altcoins is deceptive. So BTC is the only leader now.

It is first ever popular cryptocurrency. People think of bitcoin and cryptocurrency as synonyms. But actually, bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency. It is the invention of bitcoin when people became familiar with the term “cryptocurrency”. It is after bitcoin, many other cryptocurrencies were released with improved qualities than bitcoin. Today, there are 1500+ cryptocurrencies in the market.

Thus, bitcoin is the base and widespread. It is also said that the altcoins are dependent on bitcoin. If the price of bitcoin goes down so does that of altcoins. So, bitcoin is the undisputed for quite some time now. Let’s see if any of the altcoins can snatch this position from bitcoin in future.

I think the change in the rate of the bitcoin and the change in momentum has made bitcoin the undisputed leader in the cryptocurrency market which will have its impact in the minds of people for a long period of time.
