Recovery question

Sat Feb 10, 2018 10:10 pm

Hello

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I had given up on finding my old wallet as the usb disk is long lost. But today I found a text document with my Memoric, User, Pass and Hash in it. Is there anything I can do to get my old wallet back with that or is all lost without the old wallet file?

Cheers.

Logic says yes, but how old is the wallet? Can you access your private keys? As a recovery method you might be able to use electrum to import your wallet.dat file

Thanks for the replies.

I got the bit coin in 2004 and spent 0.6 on membership to a website. The other 0.4 should be in the wallet but the problem is I don't know what USB stick the wallet was on. I have checked all my old ones from around that time and the only one I can't check is so far gone Windows does not even see it. So I think the wallet file is totally lost.

Some one told me I could recover my wallet. But the only info I have is the random words a user name a password and a hash so I do not think there is anything to recover but it was worth an ask.

I personally faced the same issue about a month ago. So, I'm looking for a good recovery software. I've been just suggested to try 7 data app https://7datarecovery.com/ . This program helped my friend to get all his lost data back. But it's pretty expensive. As I understood, a free version of the software can recover only up to 100MB of data. I'm going to try it tomorrow. So I'll keep you updated
