HELP .. getting bitcoin cash out

Hello - I need some help with getting my Bitcoin cash out. I have had bitcoin for a while now therefore I had it before August 1st and should have equal parts BCH to BTC. I had 2.4 BTC stored on my computer in Bitcoin QT (core) up until this past Sat (11/11/17) when I then transferred it to my wife's blockchain.info wallet (I had her create that because I found this article on BTC.com explaining out to extract the BCH and it was easiest to have the BTC in blockchain: https://blog.btc.com/how-to-recover-bit ... 1510379811)
Anyways, I transferred 2.4 BTC from Bitcoin QT to my wife's blockchain.info account ... it took a while but finally Monday morning, her blockchain account had said "received." She now has the 2.4 BTC in her blockchain.info wallet.
Now, I followed all of the steps of the BTC.com article I just copy/pasted above & when I did "import external wallet" -> "BIP44 compatible wallet" -> entered my 12 word phrase ... it came back saying "no positive balances found" (and this is under the Bitcoin Cash section of BTC.com)

Does anyone know why this isn't working? The Bitcoin was successfully transferred from Bitcoin QT to blockchain.info ... so the BCH should be available to be found via BTC.com steps (via the article I posted)...

Paste your address into blockchain explorer and confirm, that your address really has BCH balance. Does it?
