Description and configuration of GUIMiner
The easiest way to start mining Bitcoin is, of course, to try the GUIMiner program. Its main feature is the availability of a graphical interface, which simplifies the operation for users who are not familiar with console applications. The program has open source code and is distributed under a free license.

Setup:
Extract the contents of the archive to the directory you need and run guiminer.exe. If OpenCL (Open Computing Language) is installed correctly on your computer, the graphical shell will start, i.e. GUI. If after starting you see an error on OpenCL, then you should install the OpenCL package from the manufacturer of your video card (GPU). For ATI / AMD video cards
Once launched, you can select a pool (if you do not already have an account, you can register on the site of the desired pool) and then click "Start mining". In case of a successful start at the bottom of the program you will see the number of balls found, the date of the last ball found and the speed of calculation.
Using a fallback:
Backup pool is supported only by OpenCL-miners. To use it, you need to check the --backup option from the backup pool arguments. If you want to install the Slush pool as a backup account, you need to write:
--backup = Kiv.GPU: mypass@api.bitcoin.cz: 8332
(Kiv.GPU is the name of your vorker, mypass is the password of this vorker)
If you do not remember the name or port of the pool, you can see them in the "Console" tab after running the miner.
Running in Linux:
At the moment, GUIMiner is not officially supported for Linux distributions, but there are reviews about the successful launch.
You just need to open the executable file that is in the archive, and the miner will be launched
