Bitcoin Classic "solo mining pool" *BETA*

Wed Feb 17, 2016 4:44 am

If you want to solo mine but don't want to run your own node, you can point your miners to:

Code: Select all

stratum+tcp://homebase.slmmr.net:12334
Please make your miner username a valid bitcoin address for payout if you hit a block. THIS ADDRESS IS NOT CHECKED. IF IT IS NOT VALID YOU WON'T GET ANYTHING. Password can be anything.

EDIT: Feel free to append a worker name to your username with a "." In between. For example: 1PKMYiumvScJhpMTuKoWM6vp5HBqkyrzC8.worker1

Fee is 1%

If a block is hit it will go to 1GEExg5b37fEe9F15t83LjcS8WMNPGJNVh and I will send your share (99%) from there to you.

Stats pages: https://homebase.slmmr.net:12443/

The idea here is to be similar to solo.ckpool.org . If this takes off I may eventually get more sophisticated with address validation and better logging.

Also, I'm running on modest hardware and internet connection. I make no promises about stability, but so far so good.

You can post here with any questions or comments, but they are better off posted on reddit at: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin_Classi ... pool_beta/

DISCLAIMER: Service is provided as-is. I make a best effort to keep it running, but you better have some backup pools in your miner just in case.

STATUS REPORT:
  • 2016-02-16 @ 9:45 PM EST: restarted pool for upgrades/tweaks; doubled RAM and tweaked some settings

9.75 TH avg over the last hour. Note that it's not a traditional pool. When a block is hit, as stated, 99% of it goes to the miner that hit it and I keep 1% to offset maintenance cost of running a full node+pool software. Realistically, pool hash rate doesn't matter.

You can read more about this style of "pool" here: http://solo.ckpool.org/
