I've just been using https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xmr
Poloniex still the main XMR exchange, I use https://cryptowat.ch/poloniex/xmrbtc but its basically like watching polo.
There is also #monero-markets on freenode where some discuss price movements. We also have Slack channels that relay from the IRC and telegram channels, anyone wishing to join just PM needmoney90.

I think this is not as far fetched as some people may be thinking at this moment. I was thinking that number last week before this latest round of madness started.
A $500M to $1B USD market cap for Monero in the next few months doesn't seem unreasonable with these things going on.
Price increases will drive further development of services using Monero, that will lead to further price increases.
It will be a self fulfilling cycle until we bump up against scaling issues.
So my wild guess: $500M to $1B USD market cap by the end of the year, even with very few actual use cases at the moment.

A real break of 0.05 and all hell would break loose.. into unprecedented territory..My belief is that XMR could reach anywhere between 0.2 and 2 BTC by the end of this year.
Expect .01 to be tested before Monero rises to .05. Bitcoin has had wild swings why should Monero be any different?A real break of 0.05 and all hell would break loose.. into unprecedented territory..My belief is that XMR could reach anywhere between 0.2 and 2 BTC by the end of this year.
I don't know about that. With the buying pressure the way it is right now, it would be very hard to see .01 ($44 million of volume on a $105 million market cap, with the market pushing upward).Expect .01 to be tested before Monero rises to .05. Of course if market temperament changes you could be right, but as it is right now, it's very difficult to see it going down to .01 (perhaps unless an enormous whale dumps, which is unlikely).
As far as comparing to Bitcoin, Bitcoin doesn't have near this level of volume relative to its market cap, a decent comparison perhaps would be comparing Monero right now to Bitcoin in Nov 2013 (though as you can see the action in Monero now is way stronger than Bitcoin's action then).
I see $500M as somewhat inevitable, assuming the current course (I am certainly biased though).[...]

We? You all pro-monero and anti-bitcoin now?More good press for Monero from Bitcoin.com no less: https://news.bitcoin.com/monero-rising- ... ts-matter/
Looks like we also made it into Bloomberg too! http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/ ... re-secrecy
I agree, there will be a devastating crash, but until Sept 1st everyone is riding the hype train and whales will find it easier to manipulate the price up than try to reverse the trend.People tend to forget in the pump euphoria that this is fueled by speculative fever. There is no guarantee that people who use darknet markets will even use Monero. I have never seen a speculative bubble not have a fifty percent (or more) correction. If Monero makes a new all time high without a correction to .01 - .02 it would be a first. My point is be on the lookout for bargain prices. No reason Monero to be immune to flash crashes just like Bitcoin.
Sorry for the typo original post corrected. I expect a correction to .01 to .012. It will be unexpected but traders will already have bids in to pick up cheap Monero. I do not see Monero advancing to .02 until long past Sept 1.We? .02 by Sept 1st is highly likely.... then people will realize that XMR isnt being used nearly as much as they hyped it up to be and then comes the flash crash / 50% retrace
I bought some Monero a few weeks ago specifically due to my frustration with Bitcoin not being allowed to scale. We? You all pro-monero and anti-bitcoin now?
Bitcoin will survive, I am sure of itGlad to now be a member here. Much better interface than Bitcointalk, they gave me a 14 day ban for posting too much on this subject. Have been watching for years. Roger I think now we are coming into a time where private money is more important than ever before.

To me, its clear the advantages XMR has over BTC for day to day cash. One example I like as a non technical person, is the ability to have the option to remember a "seed phrase" in your memory or write it down and put it in a safe. Bitcoin only allows you to have a un-encrypted key file ready to be stolen. - I see BTC as a digital gold like asset. It was the first digital coin that sparked the "digital gold rush"...in some way. With XMR I also have the option of using a .keys file however if it is stolen, the file is encrypted! I see these minor things as great benefits for a cash system. There are other great benefits to XMR as well. I dont think we need to necessarily choose one system over the other or one will die. I think both will complement each other in some way.
