Is Coinbase similar to Paypal?

Tue Mar 23, 2021 9:35 am

Fundamentally, coinbase and PayPal are polar opposites. Coinbase exposes you to real crypto. You are able to withdrawal to your own wallet. Think of it like exchanging your USD for a foreign currency. You can withdraw that foreign currency. PayPal is like buying a stock, but you’re not positive they even have the stock, or just provides you the price exposure. You can’t withdraw to your own wallet, but if btc goes up, so will your net worth, and vise-versa.

We need more context for your situation, but I’d recommend looking into coinbase pro for all your crypto transactions. If you want a more detailed answer that better suits your need, please provide why you want to get into bitcoin and what you want to use it for.

There’s a fraudster who had been going about in the guise of wanting to help people “mix” their cryptocurrency using his platform; mycryptomixer,com and then vanishing with it... He uses the advantage of anonymity to shield his animosity and unsuspecting individuals who want to be discreet about their transactions fall victim by using the platform...

So far he has made away with 13 bitcoins and counting!! Do the maths!!!

Over the past couple of days a series of people have lost their Bitcoin to a scam platform known as mycryptomixer,com ... Most notable is an individual who’s lost his life savings which equate to 13 Bitcoin!!!They are a shady platform and even going to their site raises all the red flags... they ask you a question saying “why trust us?” And go ahead to give you cliche reasons. Do not fall victim to their trickery... read here;

Both Coinbase and Paypal make money by charging a fee whenever you buy or sell crypto. There is no account fee for either. (Whew).

Coinbase’s Pro product offers the lowest rates. They charge between 0.04% to 0.5% of the purchase or sale amount, depending on the amount. The tradeoff, however, is that Coinbase Pro’s interface can be intimidating.

If you find user friendliness to be important, the next cheapest option depends on the amount:

Less than $150, Paypal is cheaper.
Between $150-1000, standard Coinbase platform is cheaper.
For over $1000, it’s about the same (standard Coinbase charges 1.49% and Paypal charges 1.5%)
Selling Verified PayPal accounts, VCC, VBA and more. To find help simply visit PayPalUnlocked dot com

This is a strange question. I wouldn't say Coinbase is similar to PayPal but I wouldn't say they are polar opposites either. They are simply different entities with different functions. Even though PayPal now offers cryptos, it's still hard to compare it to Coinbase as its crypto services are pretty limited.
