In my quest of Bitcoin and/or Crypto/Digital Currency adoption I've spotted an untapped eco-system in underground hip hop. I am very involved in many aspects of our community which puts me in touch with all types. Many Bitcoin & Crypto/Digital Currency enthusiasts are hip hop heads especially developers abroad who are die hard fans of EDM, Old School & Horrorcore hip hip oriented entertainment.
Underground hip hop artists such as The Insane Clown Posse have a global economy with an anti-everything cult like family of followers painting their faces like clowns while spending millions a year on ICP merchandise, music, tickets, etc. Hip hop artist Necro made a million dollars out of his bedroom in Brooklyn, NY only to travel the world utilizing an ICP strategy which has made him god like to his following.
Sean Strange, CEO of Nah Bro Entertainment is an Artist/Producer who could be equated to Machine Gun Kelly if not better travels the globe with Salome Strange & The Snowgoons camp who too have built a thriving economy around their music. Saying all that to say this...
Underground hip hop artists need to adopt Bitcoin & other Crypto/Digital Currencies for many reasons!
HERE ARE MY TOP 10 REASONS WHY?
1- Underground hip hop artists travel globally to make their money which is mostly cash. This poses the problem of breaking the law if $10K+ USD is being transported internationally & not declared to airport officials. EX: Snoop Dogg's Recent Problem, 'Authorities Seize $400K From Snoop Dogg at Italy Airport'
2- Theft! Can a global artist truly trust all those around him while carrying tens of thousands in cash? No! So Bitcoin & Crypto/Digital Currency eliminates that risk and many others.
3- In reality, many artists party like rock stars while on tour & may at times possess drugs, etc. Drugs & money don't mix, they get seized as evidence. Not with Bitcoin or Crypto/Digital Currency.
4- Why trust others with merch money while performing at shows. A simple T-Shirt with a personal Bitcoin or Crypto/Digital Currency QR code used to receive real-time digital bank deposits allows artists to spit fire while fans purchase products from merch stands/tables with all digital purchases transacted right on their T-shirt keeping artists 100% in control of monies in.

FYI: PayPal was initially shun for similiar reasons for years & as more adopt BTC globally it will create demand, in turn, put pressure on all involved in the music industry not just underground artists forcing them to accept it. The Silk Road factor keeps many at bay due to the criminal nature of that '1' particular incident involving 'the use' of Bitcoin the currency did nothing wrong, humans did just like a USD related crime yet BTC wears the black eye. Good news that you accept BTC for your music, products & services!
