Did I really get paid?

Hello,
I had to sign up for Bitcoin to receive payment from someone I did work for. They are adamant they paid me, and keep referring to a https://blockchain.info link. While the page itself seems pretty explanatory, my bitcoin wallet and cash both say "no transactions yet". The link shows 0.00143817 BTC being paid. Is the amount just too small to show on my wallet? We double-confirmed my address, which has now changed, via email.
