Hello Bitcoin.com Forum Members!

I have been working and living in China/Hong Kong for the past 11 years, mainly active in the private equity and venture capital industry helping foreign investment firms sourcing and completing M&A deals in China. Since 2013 I have been investing in and helping Bitcoin and Blockchain startups grow. It started with Seedcoin, a Bitcoin startup virtual incubator and now as CEO of Coinsilium, a London-based blockchain focused investing company supporting early-stage ventures through investment, acceleration, development and education.

Coinsilium has established Block Chain Space, an accelerator program and technical training lab due to launch in Barcelona in Q1 2016.

Current investments by Coinsilium include: SatoshiPay, a nano-payment gateway for the consumption of online content; Fuzo, a digital wallet and financial services provider for the world's unbanked and underbanked; Factom, facilitating immutable data management and transfer; security application developer, Rivetz; blockchain API provider, Neuroware; cryptocurrency payment gateway and analytics provider, CoinSimple; cryptocurrency exchange meXBT and bitcoin trading and savings platform, Magnr.

Coinsilium intends to admit to trading on London’s ISDX Growth Market as the first London listed company focused on blockchain investments.

I am pleased to answer your questions on this forum.

Hi Eddy,
Thanks so much for getting involved in such a big way!

1. Is there an ETA on when trading may begin for Coinsilium on the London ISDX stock exchange?
2. Of Coinsilum's current investments, if you had to pick just one, which one are you most optimistic about?
3. Where and when did you first hear about Bitcoin?
4. What made you decide to get involved?

on magnr can you explain how the leverage trades work? Your money is used for leveraged trades and a 2.18% currently interest rate is given which is compounded monthly. What's the risk on something like this?

Hi Eddy,
Thanks so much for getting involved in such a big way!

Thank you for your questions Roger.

1. Is there an ETA on when trading may begin for Coinsilium on the London ISDX stock exchange?
There are several variables we do not control in this process, the main one being the time to reach our target fundraising but our objective is for Coinsilium to begin trading before the end of 2015 so ETA is only a few weeks away.

2. Of Coinsilum's current investments, if you had to pick just one, which one are you most optimistic about?
If I applied the same question to the original Seedcoin investments in 2014 I would have picked the bitcoin trading platform Magnr (then called BTC.sx) as the one I felt was the most likely to succeed. Magnr's achievements to date have demonstrated it was a good choice and although I am convinced of a further successful path for Magnr, out of the current portfolio I would pick SatoshiPay as I am confident in the impact of nanopayments as a new way to monetize the internet.

3. Where and when did you first hear about Bitcoin?
Seedcoin co-founder and Coinsilium CTO Hakim Mamoni introduced me first to Bitcoin end of 2012 when we were both in China.

4. What made you decide to get involved?
I only came to grasp bitcoin’s potential in May 2013 following the Cyprus bail-in. The other factor that triggered my interest in the nascent Bitcoin startup ecosystem was a Chinese VC investment in Coinbase. A few weeks later my partners and I decided to create Seedcoin to fund seed-stage Bitcoin startups.

Thank you for your question re. magnr, one of the first investments we made in 2014.

Deposits on Magnr Savings is held as collateral for leveraged trades on Magnr Trading. Risks around interest bearing savings are not dependent on market price as clients who trade take on the FX risk. Traders get access to leverage in return for the daily interest fee paid out to savers. On Magnr, the risk factor on savings is confined to counterparty risk. Magnr is the risk counterparty to its clients. Additional risks for Magnr as a company come from its exchange partners, internally these risks are mitigated against privately collateralised deals held against deposited Bitcoins.
